Built in 1898, the property was a former piano factory. The back building has a red stone façade with big windows and decorative details. In front of the old factory there is a modern house, built in the 70’s. The whole ensemble is under refurbishment. In the front building there will be 27 new studio apartments developed. The floor sizes of these apartments are between 23 and 37 m². All apartments will be equipped with modern furniture and sanitary objects of high quality. On the roof of the house 2 penthouses will be developed as well. They have a floor size of 161 and 270 m².
The studio apartments will be provided with modern comfort, e.g. floor heating, built-in boards and spot lights. Oak tree parquet will be laid out. The bathrooms will receive original Italian products by Catalano and Keramag as well as high-quality tiles. A practical and stylish built-in kitchen of best comfort will be part of the equipment, too. All apartments will be fully equipped, starting from the sofa till to the mirror.
The completely refurbished property is located in the popular district Kreuzberg which is next to Mitte and Friedrichshain. The lively place called Mariannenplatz looks like a park in the city. It is a place where people like to meet and to relax. Kreuzberg is one of the most sought-after living areas in the city. It is home for people from all over the world. Especially artists and other creative people love to live here. The place Mariannenplatz is located very close to the river Spree. The popular Oranienstrasse is also only a few minute’s walk away. Here are lots of shopping opportunities, small cafes and bars to be found.
Traffic connections are also fine. Underground stations, the S-Bahn and the central rail station Ostbahnhof are near the property.
Start of the refurbishment will be at the end of 2011. The project will be finished in autumn 2012.
